BOSS - Bike Orienteering Summer Series

For the first time, the Newcastle Orienteering Club is running a (mtb) Bike Orienteering Summer Series (BOSS).  Each month between now and March will see a 75minute score course in and around the Hunter region. 

The first event is THIS WEEKEND at Hawkemount, near Coorangbong, organised by Dennis Lyons.  It is preferred that you pre-enter by sending an e-mail to Andrew Haigh by 10pm on the Wednesday before the event. At $5 for a member, $7 for non-members and $10 for those with a tendency to enter late or on the day, these will be great value!! [Please note, if you enter on the day we cannot guarantee a pre-marked map, and so to help the organisers please pre-enter]

2010 NSW State Championships - Embargoed Areas Saturday, 24 July 2010 For the 2010 NSW State Championships Ben Bullen State Forest, and specifically the following area, has been embargoed to orienteers: • Between Mt Piper Power Station and Wallerwang • North of Cullen Bullen and west of the Castlereagh Highway These areas are embargoed to anyone not involved in the organisation of the NSW Middle and Long Distance Championship events, and/or without express permission of the respective organisers or controllers.
